A vision is more than a dream - it is a dream anchored in reality and insight into the communities and the people who choose to call this place home. It is based on knowledge of statistics and trends and of the hopes and desires of those who will make the decisions and who will, in their small ways, direct the future. Robert Frost warned us that "two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." Our vision will make a difference. It will help us to choose the path. So it is that we project life in rural South Georgia, and especially in Brooks County and Quitman, Morven, Pavo and all surrounding and unincorporated areas, in the year 2012. We need to know what we would like this place to be if we are to make the important choices the future will demand of us....
